The conference will take place at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma, where we have also secured a block of rooms for conference attendees to stay. The hotel is located across the street from the historic Alameda Central in the historic center of Mexico City. We encourage everyone to stay at the conference hotel, as we need to fill a minimum number of rooms to avoid paying extra for the conference rooms.

Flying to Mexico City

Visitors are encouraged to fly in through Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez (MEX). From there, it is easiest to get a Taxi to the hotel through one of the many authorized Taxi vendors at the airport. Taking an UBER is also possible from the designated ride share pickup areas. The ride should be half an hour to an hour depending on trafic.

Note that there is another airport that also serves mexico city (Felipe Angeles International Airport, NLU) that is much newer than MEX but is much farther from the center of the city and not yet well connected to the city, with only very limited availability of Taxis and outside the range of ride sharing, so it is not advisable to fly into that airport unless you have secured transportation through a travel agency.

Moving around in Mexico City

The hotel is within walking distance to the historic downtown of Mexico city. To go to the tourist areas of Condesa, Roma and Polanco, a ride share is probably the simplest way to go (Uber and Didi are the most popular). The subway is also very efficient, although it can get crowded during rush hour in the morning before 9am and in the afternoons from 5 to 8pm.
